What is an Username Generator?

This generator builds usernames one of two ways: if you leave the base name field empty, it randomly pairs one of 10 adjectives (cool, smart, creative, awesome, epic, pro, super, mega, ultra, prime) with one of 10 nouns (user, player, gamer, coder, ninja, master, hero, star, legend, wizard); if you provide a base name, it uses that instead, stripped of spaces and lowercased. From there, optional toggles add a random 1–999 number (placed before or after the name) and, with roughly a 40% chance per candidate, a symbol (underscore, hyphen, or period) inserted at a random position.

Every candidate is checked against your min/max length range (default 6–12 characters, adjustable from 3 to 25) and only kept if it fits — so the final list reflects your length preferences rather than arbitrary combinations. If you supplied a base name, four fixed variants are always added on top: yourname_official, real_yourname, yourname123, and yourname_pro. Results are deduplicated and capped at 12 shown.

Rather than relying on an external name-availability API, this tool generates candidate usernames through randomized combination and filters them by your specified length range before displaying them — length is shown next to each result as a badge, so you can see at a glance which candidates best fit a platform’s specific length requirements. Because it works entirely offline, it does not check whether a suggested username is actually available on any specific platform.
