What is a Name Generator?

This generator covers three distinct naming needs on separate tabs. Startup Names combines 10 prefix words (Tech, Smart, Quantum, Digital, Cyber, Cloud, Micro, Meta, Ultra, Pro) with 10 suffix words (Lab, Hub, Core, Works, Tech, Solutions, Systems, Dynamics, Logic, Sync) — if you enter a keyword, it blends that keyword with a random prefix or suffix instead (like "YourKeywordHub" or "TechYourKeyword"). Brand Names works the same way using 10 adjectives (Bold, Bright, Creative, Dynamic, Elite, Fresh, Golden, Prime, Royal, Vital) and 10 nouns (Studio, Co, Group, Brand, House, Craft, Design, Media, Labs, Works).

Baby Names is different: it shuffles a fixed, curated list of 10 classic boy names and 10 classic girl names together and returns 10 at random, with no gender filter, cultural-origin filter, or name-meaning information — it works best as a quick source of classic Western name inspiration rather than a comprehensive baby-naming database. Every tab shows up to 10 deduplicated results per click, each with its own one-click copy button.

Startup and Brand name generation both use combinatorial word-blending — pairing a fixed word bank with either another fixed word or your own keyword — which reliably produces short, pronounceable, brandable-sounding results without needing an external naming database or API. Baby Names instead simply shuffles and samples from a small, fixed, curated list rather than combining word parts, which keeps its output limited to real recognizable names rather than invented syllable blends.

  • For Brand Names, try both with and without a keyword to compare purely generic combinations against ones blended with your own brand word.

Common Mistakes

Expecting a gender filter or cultural-origin filter on Baby Names — the current list mixes 10 boy and 10 girl names together with no filtering option.

Expecting name meanings or etymology information — none is shown for any category.

Assuming Startup and Brand name results are checked for domain or trademark availability — they are not; always verify availability separately before committing to a name.

Summary
