What is an Image Resizer?
This resizer organizes presets into three paths. Education & Government covers exam and portal photo/signature specs for GATE, NEET (NTA), JEE Main, UPSC, SSC, IBPS, HPPSC, HPSSC, RRB, Driving License (RTO), and Indian Passport — each preset includes expected dimensions and file-size targets where applicable, with aspect_ratio fields ensuring correct proportions. Social Media covers Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Tinder with exact pixel dimensions per placement (profile, cover, post, story).
Manual mode provides full control: DPI from 72 to 600, width and height up to 5000px each with optional aspect-ratio lock, a scale percentage slider, output format selection (JPEG, PNG, WebP), and a quality slider. Resizing debounces as you adjust settings so the live preview updates smoothly. Exam presets with KB targets estimate a quality setting to approximate the range, but actual output size depends on image content — always verify the downloaded file.
The tool loads your image, applies the selected preset dimensions or manual settings, and draws the result onto a canvas at the target pixel size using high-quality image smoothing. Export uses canvas.toBlob at the chosen format and quality. A before/after comparison shows original versus resized dimensions and file sizes.
How it works
Image Resizer reads your input from the panel above, applies education & government exam/portal presets with aspect ratios, and shows a result you can copy or download. Options stay visible so you can iterate without reloading the page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What image formats are supported?+
Our image resizer supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats. You can also convert between these formats during the resize process.
Can I resize images for government exam applications?+
Yes! We have specific presets for GATE, NEET, UPSC, SSC, IBPS, HPPSC, HPSSC, and other government exams with exact size and format requirements.
Will resizing affect image quality?+
Our advanced algorithms minimize quality loss. Enlarging images may reduce quality slightly, but reducing size typically maintains excellent quality. We use high-quality interpolation methods.
Can I resize images for social media platforms?+
Absolutely! We have presets for Instagram (profile, posts, stories), Facebook (cover, posts), LinkedIn (profile, posts), Twitter (profile, headers), and other platforms with exact dimensions.
What is DPI and how does it affect my images?+
DPI (Dots Per Inch) determines print quality. Higher DPI (300+) is for print, while lower DPI (72-150) is for web. Our tool lets you adjust DPI for your specific needs.
Can I maintain the original aspect ratio?+
Yes, our tool automatically maintains aspect ratios to prevent distortion. You can also choose custom dimensions if needed.
Is there a file size limit?+
Our tool can handle large images efficiently. For best performance, we recommend images under 50MB, though larger files are supported.
Can I batch resize multiple images?+
Yes, you can process multiple images with the same settings. This is perfect for creating consistent image sets for websites or social media campaigns.

- Start from a high-resolution source photo for sharp results at large social presets.
Common Mistakes
Assuming exam presets guarantee an exact KB file size — actual output varies by image content.
Uploading a low-resolution source and expecting a sharp result at 1080px social presets.
Skipping the before/after preview and downloading at wrong dimensions.
Summary
Upload your image, pick an exam or social preset (or configure Manual mode with DPI and quality), review the live before/after preview, and download a JPEG, PNG, or WebP at your target dimensions.
