What is an Image Cropper & Resizer?

This cropper loads your image into an interactive preview where you drag and resize a crop rectangle over the photo. Presets cover Instagram (square, portrait, story, reels, profile), Facebook (cover, post, story), Twitter/X (header, post), LinkedIn (cover, post), YouTube (thumbnail, banner), TikTok, Pinterest (pin, board cover), plus common ratios like 16:9, 4:5, 1:1, and 21:9 — each preset locks the crop area to the correct aspect ratio and exports at the preset's exact pixel dimensions.

A Custom Size mode lets you enter any width and height in pixels instead of picking a preset. The UI notes support for files up to 50MB. Cropping happens on an HTML canvas: the selected region is drawn at the target resolution and exported as a PNG data URL for download — there is no server upload and no alternate output format.

Selecting a preset calculates the aspect ratio from its width and height, then positions a crop box over your image that you can drag to reframe. On export, the canvas draws only the selected region scaled to the preset's output dimensions (or your custom WxH), producing a crisp PNG file named with the preset suffix when applicable.

Keep images on your device — cropping never leaves your browser.

When to Use Image Cropper & Resizer

  • Cropping a photo to exact Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn placement dimensions without guessing pixels
  • Reframing a landscape shot into a 9:16 story or reel format
  • Cutting a custom WxH region from a screenshot or product photo for a website layout
  • Preparing a YouTube thumbnail or Twitter header at the platform's recommended size

Advantages

  • Dozens of social and common-ratio presets with exact pixel dimensions
  • Draggable crop area with aspect-ratio lock per preset
  • Custom width × height mode for non-standard sizes
  • Client-side canvas processing — no upload wait

Tips

  • Pick the preset first — it locks the crop box aspect ratio so you cannot accidentally distort the output.
  • For very large source images, zoom out mentally on the preview and drag the crop box to the most important area before downloading.
  • Remember output is always PNG; if you need JPEG or WebP afterward, use the Image Format Converter.
  • Check the 50MB upload note in the UI before trying to crop very large RAW exports or uncompressed screenshots.

Common Mistakes

Expecting JPEG or WebP output — this cropper always exports PNG via canvas.

Uploading a file over 50MB and assuming it will still process.

Choosing a preset but not dragging the crop box, leaving an off-center subject in the final image.

Summary

Upload your image, pick a social preset or enter custom dimensions, drag the crop box into place, and download a PNG at the exact pixel size you need — all processed locally in your browser.
